    What does the General Social Service do?

    The General Social Service (ASD) consists of a team of social work and social pedagogy specialists. It offers you and you help from non-binding counseling sessions to individual one-on-one help with parenting problems.

    The counseling services are free of charge!

    In a joint discussion, the ASD tries to identify emergency and problem situations with you, to find out their causes and to work out solutions together.

    The reason for contacting us can be

    for you:

    • Our children do what they want.
    • We can't talk to our children.
    • We are getting a divorce.
    • All we do is argue.
    • We fight over the children.
    • I am a single parent.
    • We feel overwhelmed.
    • We don't know what to do anymore.
    • I can't do it all by myself anymore.
    • We worry about friends, acquaintances, neighbors.
    • in the event of economic difficulties
    • in case of personal difficulties
    • in case of health difficulties
    • in case of difficulties of a social nature

    or for you:

    • My parents do not understand me.
    • We can't talk to our parents.
    • My parents are getting divorced.
    • We don't know what to do anymore.

    Important information for children and adolescents:
    If you are in an emergency or conflict situation, you have the right to counseling without your parents having to know about it!
    The General Social Service works on a district basis in order to be able to offer quick and uncomplicated help on site. This also includes the possibility for us to visit you - if desired - on site or at home.
    Furthermore, we are committed to data protection, so we do not give any information to the outside without your consent.
    The General Social Service cooperates with all institutions and authorities that can be helpful in the context of a solution!
    We support you with ideas, wishes and initiatives that make life more livable and attractive for you in your district.

    The ASD offers itself as a partner to work out together with you what scope you can use for co-responsibility and self-decision-making.

    Accessibility is ensured by a continuous emergency service during office hours, emergency number 0162 / 799 43 60.
    (Mon, Tue, Wed: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. / Thu: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. / Fri: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.)

    On weekends and in the evening, you can reach the emergency service of the Pedagogical Outpatient Clinic from Kaarst via the police.
