Fire department

The Hilden Fire Department performs numerous tasks in the areas of hazard prevention and public welfare. The legal basis for these tasks is the North Rhine-Westphalia Fire Protection, Relief and Disaster Control Act (BHKG) and the North Rhine-Westphalia Rescue Service Act (RettG). In 2010 and 2011, a new building was added to the Hilden fire station and the existing building was remodeled.

The profession

The full-time fire station is part of the independent department II/37 - fire department - of the Hilden city administration. It consists of two watch departments, each of which works 24-hour shifts. In addition, the office manager, the watch manager and the employees of the Preventive Hazard Prevention Department are on duty on a daily basis. General administrative work is carried out by three administrative employees.
