Fire department
The Hilden Fire Department performs numerous tasks in the areas of hazard prevention and public welfare. The legal basis for these tasks is the North Rhine-Westphalia Fire Protection, Relief and Disaster Control Act (BHKG) and the North Rhine-Westphalia Rescue Service Act (RettG). In 2010 and 2011, a new building was added to the Hilden fire station and the existing building was remodeled.
The profession
The full-time fire department is part of the independent department II/37 - Fire Department- of the city administration of Hilden. It consists of two watch departments, each of which performs its service in 24-hour shifts. In addition, the head of the office, the watch commander and the employees of the preventive fire protection department are on day duty. General administrative work is performed by three administrative employees.
