Digitalpaten - Consultation hour: Online together!

As older people in particular often have problems using digital devices, apps and programs, the Mettmann district's digital mentors offer weekly consultation hours at the city library. During these sessions, the digital mentors advise their fellow citizens on the "right" purchase decision for a digital device, how to use it, how to use various apps and how to solve other technical difficulties.

Erwin Knebel, Chairman of the "Working Group of Consumers in the Mettmann District" and coordinator of the digital mentors, explains: "The consultation hours serve as a central point of contact to meet the ever-increasing need for digital participation and its mediation."

Participation is free of charge and the support of the digital mentors can be used spontaneously during the entire consultation hour without prior appointment.
