What is climate protection, what is climate protection action and why climate adaptation?
Climate protection in the city of Hilden means actively introducing measures that benefit the climate.
In addition to climate protection, climate adaptation is also becoming an increasingly urgent task. Climate change is progressing and thus the number and intensity of weather extremes is increasing.
The city of Hilden has agreed on climate protection and climate adaptation measures that are reviewed and supplemented annually. The main aim is to act as a role model and make a valuable contribution to regional value creation, thereby improving the quality of life for citizens. The measures are also intended to motivate all stakeholders to participate in taking climate protection measures.

The climate protection and climate adaptation measures are divided into eight thematic areas.
