Concerts

Numerous concerts of different styles take place in Hilden.

In this section we would like to give you an overview of the different offers.

  • Concerts in the Reformation Church

Welcome to the wonderful acoustics of the Reformationskirche in Hilden!

As part of the KLANGVOLL concert series organized by the Department of Culture, renowned instrumental ensembles and soloists perform in the special ambience of this Romanesque sacred building several times a year.

  • Music school concerts

At the numerous events and performances of the music school, students can experience themselves as performing artists and enjoy the applause they deserve. At the same time, the music school thus plays a major role in shaping Hilden's cultural offerings and offers the opportunity to enjoy the music school's presentations "live and in color".

  • Jazz concerts

Hilden has established itself as a jazz city in recent years. Events with renowned international musicians take place throughout the year.

    Hilden Jazz Days

The Hilden Jazz Days have been a fixture on the German jazz scene since 1996 and offer a varied program with top-class international artists.

Certainly, the Jazz Days were and are the pioneers for Hilden to be able to confidently call itself a "Jazz City" today.

The 22nd Hildener Jazztage will take place from May 28 to June 1, 2025 under the motto.

  • Memorial Concerts

In memory of the victims of National Socialism

Every year on the national day of remembrance on January 27, the Hilden Music School organizes a concert with music and texts on the topic.

  • Hilden sings and sounds

As members of the Hilden "Culture and Cultural Education Network", Hilden's choirs and instrumental groups regularly exchange ideas and explore which joint activities and events could be interesting and possible for the individual groups.

Under the title "Hilden sings and sounds", a joint concert has taken place every one to two years in the past to give recognized cultural associations the opportunity to present a selection from their repertoire to a broad public. This also gave them the opportunity to maintain existing contacts and make new ones.
