"New works in the sculpture garden"
The idyllic garden surrounding the over 100-year-old coach house, the home of the Hilden art association "Haus Hildener Künstler H6 e.V.", is now opening its doors for the tenth time for a sculpture exhibition, which takes place every two years. In 2025, the "Skulpturengarten H6" project will have existed for twenty years.
A documentation of all exhibitions can be found at www.skulpturengarten-h6.de.
Twenty artists with different backgrounds were invited to take part in the exhibition, and after a year of preparation, they are now presenting their sculptural works of art here.
Style was not a decisive factor in the selection of the individual works of art. Thus, the free interpretation of the concept of sculpture becomes visible. Not only classical sculptures, but also objects and assemblages are on display. The viewer has the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the variety of expressive possibilities and materials of contemporary sculptural art.
The garden is an important meeting place in the Hilden art scene. You can enjoy the birdsong there in peace and tranquillity and let the works of art stimulate your thoughts. The harmonious connection between art and nature is an important concern of this sculpture exhibition. Art and nature are in a dialog. The individual sculptures not only stand alone in the garden, but the different viewing directions encourage visitors to move around the garden.
The participating artists will be showing a documentary about their work in the gallery space on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.
Opening hours:
On Saturday, May 3 at 4 p.m., the opening will include a performance by Bettina Boost and Axel Hippe. The sculpture garden is open every Saturday from 2-6 p.m. until October 31 and can be visited during the opening hours of the exhibitions in the gallery room of the Haus Hildener Künstler, as well as by appointment. Admission is free.
