Hilden Artists' Market

Discover art, chat with artists, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of an open-air gallery: On June 20 and 21, 2026, Hilden’s downtown will be transformed for the 23rd time into a gathering place for art lovers and creative minds.

A total of 66 artists are showcasing their work along Mittelstraße, highlighting the diversity of contemporary art. The exhibition features eight artists from Hilden as well as guests from Belgium and France. The exhibited works range from oil and acrylic paintings to watercolors, photographs, and etchings, as well as ceramics, glass art, woodwork, objects, and sculptures.

The Hilden Artists' Market offers a unique opportunity not only to view art, but also to talk directly with the artists and learn more about their techniques, inspirations, and works.

A special highlight this year is an extraordinary artist who brings Maori art to life as tattoos on the skin. His work will be featured at the artists’ market, offering fascinating insights into this unique art form.
