Hilden Citizen Festival


Music, dance, diversity, celebrating together: on the second weekend in July 2026, Hilden's city center will once again become a big festival stage at the 4th Hilden Citizens' Festival.

Once again, all citizens are cordially invited to celebrate together on July 11/12, 2026. From midday on Saturday, a lively backdrop of concerts, dance performances, family activities and creative program items will once again be created between the Stadtpark and the Bürgerhaus - organized by local clubs, choirs, bands and other music groups as well as the city's cultural institutions.

While on both days Hilden groups will provide music of various styles on the two stages in the city center, on Sunday morning the city park will once again be transformed into a relaxed picnic zone for families with accompanying offers from the music school and the Hilden hands-on circus.

There will also be a bet from Mayor Claus Pommer this year. What exactly it will be remains to be seen...


Applications to perform as a band, choir, music or dance group are welcome from the Cultural Office - send an email to kulturamt@hilden.de.

Please note:

True to the motto "Hildener for Hildener", the performing groups do not receive a fee. However, professional lighting and sound equipment is provided for an effective presentation.


  • Applications from associations

    Hilden associations can apply for a stand at the Bürgerfestival from 23.03.2026. Binding confirmation of participation will only be issued by City Marketing after the end of the application phase (24.04.2026), after all applications have been viewed and the stand spaces allocated.
