Hilden Citizen Festival

Music, dance, diversity, celebrating together: on the second weekend in July 2026, Hilden's city center will once again become a big festival stage at the 4th Hilden Citizens' Festival.

Once again, all citizens are cordially invited to celebrate together on July 11/12, 2026. From midday on Saturday, a lively backdrop of concerts, dance performances, family activities and creative program items will once again be created between the Stadtpark and the Bürgerhaus - organized by local clubs, choirs, bands and other music groups as well as the city's cultural institutions.

While on both days Hilden groups will provide music of various styles on the two stages in the city center, on Sunday morning the city park will once again be transformed into a relaxed picnic zone for families with accompanying offers from the music school and the Hilden hands-on circus.

The two stages on the 1st day of the festival will feature:

- with the music school singing primary school children from the 1st year program "JeKits - Jedem Kind Instrumente, Tanzen, Singen" (for the opening) as well as the youth wind orchestra "Blowing Up" and the samba drum group "Banda de Samba

- the bands "The Unknown Loverband", "Kind of Soul", "Stella Deluxe", BFunk, Boppin'B, the senior band "Hummelband", the youth band "Oceanreserve", "Lucky Beat" and "Kleine Scherben"

- Dance groups from Studio Opgenoorth and "SO Movement"

- the Hilden choir community

... and on the 2nd festival day:

- the wind ensemble "Die Itterstädter" of the music school

- the bands "Cufurelli", "Nightwork", "The Restband", "Another Time" and "Schattenkabinett"

- "The boys with the harmonica"

- the "Choir 84"

- the brass sextet "BrassGewItter"

- a dance group from Studio Opgenoorth as well as dance groups from "Art in Movement" and the "Dance Academy"

There will be a wide range of food and drink on offer along Mittelstraße, as well as hands-on activities from the city library (Saturday), the city archives (Saturday) and the Wilhelm Fabry Museum (Sunday) and other activities.

There will also be a bet from Mayor Claus Pommer this year. What exactly it will be remains to be seen...
