Friends of the
Hilden City Library
The Friends' Association helps to fulfill the educational mission of the city library.
These are our goals:
- We support the Hilden City Library with volunteer work and the search for members and other supporters and sponsors in order to secure the library's funding.
- We intend to maintain and strengthen the city library as a place of learning, exchange and encounter.
- Through our work, we want to keep paths to lifelong learning open.
- We want to raise awareness of the wide range of media available and the varied program of events offered by the city library and motivate even more people to use it.
- We help to ensure that reading, learning and exchanging ideas in the city library is possible in an open and attractive atmosphere.
This is how we want to achieve our goals:
- By recruiting new members, active or passive.
- Through the use of sponsors and corporate memberships.
- By organizing and holding events.
- By participating as a sponsoring association, e.g. at the book market, to generate income for the city library.
- Spread the word about the city library's services and make them even better known through regular public relations work.

Spieletreff of the Hilden City Library Friends' Association
With the "Brettspiel-Helden" ("Board Game Heroes"), the Hilden City Library Friends' Association is launching a new regular offer for all adults who would like to immerse themselves in the world of modern board games. The focus is on modern board games for connoisseurs and experts,
supplemented by timeless classics.
The games are provided on site, but you can also bring your own
.
Experienced players accompany the evening, introduce the
various games and make it easier to get started. The event is aimed equally at experienced gamers and
curious people who want to discover new titles in a relaxed atmosphere
. The event will take place every two weeks.
Participation is free of charge, prior registration is not
required.
