A celebration for the whole city
From November 28 to 30, Hilden's pedestrian zone will be transformed into a festively decorated Christmas paradise. Between twinkling lights, the scent of fir trees and atmospheric music, the Advent season begins here - just the way people love it in Hilden.
As in previous years, the Hilden Christmas market invites you to stroll, marvel and enjoy on the first weekend of Advent. Numerous Hilden associations put their heart and soul into their stalls, giving the market its special, family character. The offer is complemented by commercial exhibitors who provide additional variety and enrich the atmosphere.
Whether handmade jewelry, cozy hats and scarves, lovingly designed toys or Christmas decorations - there is something to suit every gift and every taste. There are also fragrant treats, hot drinks and a cozy atmosphere in the midst of the festively illuminated city center.
The Christmas market is organized by the city marketing department of the city of Hilden, which is also designing the stage programme this year. If visitors have any questions or suggestions, they can find the city marketing team directly in front of the Tchibo branch.

Clear the stage for Christmas sounds
The stage program at the Hilden Christmas market creates a festive atmosphere full of music and emotion on all three days. The musicians bring the magic of Christmas to the city center with violin, piano, singing, brass, bagpipes and jazzy sounds.
Sometimes gentle and contemplative, sometimes lively and full of joie de vivre - the varied performances create moments that warm the heart and make Advent resound in a special way.

When the Alter Markt is transformed into a sparkling winter village on November 20, the most beautiful time of the year begins in Hilden. Against the romantic backdrop of the Reformation Church, the town center shines in a warm glow of lights and invites you to stroll, enjoy and linger.
Visitors can experience the magic of the pre-Christmas season here until December 23. Delicious aromas waft through the alleyways, festive music can be heard and the lovingly decorated stalls offer everything your heart desires - from culinary delicacies to hot punch and handmade arts and crafts.
A colorful weekend program ensures unforgettable moments and shining eyes. The new photo points are particularly atmospheric, where magical memories are created - perhaps even the perfect motif for your own Christmas post.
The old oak tree shines again in all its glory, surrounded by twinkling lights and festive decorations. All around, cozy seats and bar tables invite you to enjoy Advent together.
The large Christmas tree, decorated with thousands of LED lights that transform the square into a veritable sea of lights, is the shining centerpiece of the winter village.

A new door every day
After its successful premiere last year, the Living Advent Calendar returns this winter and brings a piece of Christmas magic to Hilden's city center day after day.
Behind each "door" is a business from the retail, gastronomy or service sectors. The result is a lovingly designed Advent calendar that connects the whole town - lively, creative and full of surprises.
Whether tastings, small gifts or special events in the stores or on the Alter Markt - every day a new highlight is waiting to be discovered. In this way, the pre-Christmas period becomes a journey through Hilden, where community, encounters and the joy of being together take center stage.
The doors can be opened here shortly or from December onwards daily on the social media channels of the city of Hilden.
