Bee Action Day 2026
Bees make an indispensable contribution to ecological biodiversity, but at the same time many species are now considered endangered.
To draw attention to the importance of bees, the Bee Action Day is once again taking place at Hilden City Library with various activities for the whole family.
Beekeeping association
Visitors can visit the stands of the "Bienenzuchtverein für Hilden und Umgebung e.V." to obtain information about bees and insights into beekeeping and purchase them.

Craft activities
There will be creative activities such as making flowers and bees from pipe cleaners and designing your own bee crown.
Young and old guests can also make their own "seed paper", which can later be planted to create a new habitat for bees.
Under the motto "buzz, craft and discover", there are even more activities for all bee lovers.
Plant exchange
Another highlight is the plant exchange for houseplants: Plants, seeds or cuttings can be brought along and exchanged here - all in the spirit of sustainability and biodiversity.
