On Saturday, April 18, 2026, Hilden's Mittelstraße will be transformed into a lively, creative marketplace:
The DIY market Hilden offers a stage for handmade products, creative ideas and lovingly designed individual pieces from 11:00 to 17:00.

The market is aimed at hobby artists, creative craftspeople, small manufacturers and local small businesses who want to present and sell their home-made products. Visitors can look forward to a wide variety of products - from handicrafts, jewelry and art to wood and ceramic products and homemade delicacies such as honey, liqueurs and jams.

The DIY market aims to make regional creatives visible and create an inspiring, family-friendly market experience. The market invites you to stroll, browse and discover.


  • For visitors

    The DIY market is open to all age groups and is particularly family-friendly. In addition to the sales stands, creative hands-on activities, optional workshops and subtle musical accompaniment by street musicians ensure a pleasant, lively atmosphere.

  • Exhibitors wanted - apply now!

    We are looking for committed and creative exhibitors for the DIY Market Hilden who would like to present their handmade products. Suitable hands-on activities that encourage visitors to linger and discover their own creativity are also welcome.

    • Small manufactories

    • Local and regional small businesses

    Prerequisite:
    All products offered must be manufactured exclusively in-house. Production involving external manufacturers is not permitted. A regional origin (e.g. from Hilden and the surrounding area) is expressly desired and is preferred in the selection process.

    • Handicrafts (knitting, crocheting, sewing)
    • Jewelry, illustrations, art & hand lettering
    • Wood and carpentry work
    • Ceramics, upcycling products
    • Soaps, fragrances, natural & herbal products
    • Homemade food (e.g. honey, jams, liqueurs)
    • Creative hands-on activities


    Application & selection procedure

    Places are limited. In order to ensure a balanced and high-quality variety of offers, a selection of applications will be made.

    Stand fee

    • Stand fee incl. tent: 100,00€

    This includes organization, on-site support and promotion of the event by the city marketing department. Selected exhibitors will receive further details once they have been accepted.

    • Stand fee with own tent: 60,00€

    This includes organization, on-site support and promotion of the event by Stadtmarketing. Selected exhibitors will receive further details once they have been accepted.
    Please note: The use of your own pavilion is only possible if it fits in with the overall appearance of the market.
