4th Hilden Citizens' Festival

Music, dance, diversity, and celebrating together: On the weekend of July 11–12, Hilden’s downtown will once again become a huge festival stage.

Residents are warmly invited to join in the celebration. Starting Saturday afternoon, a lively atmosphere will once again take shape between the City Park and the Community Center, featuring concerts, dance performances, family activities, and creative events—organized by local clubs, choirs, schools, bands, and initiatives, as well as municipal cultural institutions, among others.

The following acts will perform on Saturday, July 11, on the stages at the Alter Markt and Ellen-Wiederhold-Platz :

Performance by first-grade students as part of the "JeKits – Instruments, Dance, and Singing for Every Child" program, a collaboration between Hilden’s elementary schools and the music school

Family Picnic on Sunday, July 12

Starting at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, the city park will once again be transformed into a relaxed picnic area for families. Along with this, the music school will once again offer a hands-on activity for children and parents, and the Hilden Mobile Participatory Circus invites everyone to enjoy circus-style fun and games.

Along Mittelstraße, in addition to numerous food and drink stands, there will also be several booths—including those run by the City Library (Saturday), the Wilhelm Fabry Museum, and the City Archives (both on Sunday)—that invite children and adults to join in the fun.

The mayor’snow-traditional betis also a must-see at the Hilden Citizens’ Festival. More on that at a later date.
