"City Park Summer - Let's Play Like We're at the Circus"
The youngest children play with the “Kuller-Bahn” juggling balls, the older kids juggle with the yellow “Pipe-Juggling-Röhren,” and some are simply “hanging out” on the vertical silks. During “Stadtpark Summer,” the “Mobile Mitmachzirkus Hilden” is once again hosting lively summer games in the city park between the pond and the kiosk. The colorful juggling balls roll down the “Kuller-Bahn” track for children under three, while the balance station with its five elephant seats invites the “very little ones” to try their hand at “tightrope walking.” As the highlight, the giant swing cloth will once again be spread out, and with the help of 150 hands, a tent will be built.
At the invitation of “SnackPoint,” the family-friendly kiosk in the city park, children and the young at heart—no matter how old they are—can get moving with the 200 flying objects. “City Park Summer – Let’s Play Like We’re at the Circus” is the invitation, and the large lawn between the kiosk and the pond offers plenty of space. Various activity stations will be set up, each led by a member of the entertainment team from the “Mobile Participatory Circus Hilden”: power exercises with Boing balls, juggling with plates, balls, and clubs, balancing on the slackline, or aerial acrobatics on the vertical silks.
“We play like we used to—completely hands-on, without electricity—and recharge our human batteries through play,” say the organizers of this private initiative, describing their motivation.
If you’re able to support the circus games with a few euros, please use the donation boxes to make a voluntary contribution. Admission is generally free.
