Funding for energy consulting
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) subsidizes up to 50 percent of the costs of an energy consultation as part of which the iSFP is prepared (maximum 650 euros for detached and semi-detached houses and maximum 850 euros for residential buildings with three or more residential units) via the federal subsidy for energy consulting for residential buildings (EBW). Homeowners' associations (WEG) can also apply for a one-off grant of up to EUR 250 for the explanation of the report at a homeowners' meeting.
If an eligible refurbishment measure is subsequently implemented on the basis of an iSFP funded via the "Energy Consulting for Residential Buildings" (EBW), the respective funding rate in the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG) increases by an additional five percentage points (iSFP bonus).
Individual, needs-based energy advice for residential buildings
Investing in energy-efficient new buildings, renovations or modernizations makes sense - expert advice forms the basis for this. The costs for energy consulting, specialist planning or construction supervision vary depending on the type and scope of the project and are determined by the respective expert.
A professional energy consultation identifies potential savings in existing buildings. The heating, windows and insulation, among other things, are checked on site. The state subsidizes this consultation with up to 50% of the costs. Further information can be found on the BAFA and BMWE websites.
The result is a refurbishment concept or an individual refurbishment roadmap (iSFP), tailored to the budget and objectives. This can provide for complete or step-by-step refurbishment. Additional details and materials are available at kfw.de and gebäudeforum.de.
Range of services
The energy consultants assess the property in detail and draw up a renovation plan. They check which measures are suitable and advise on possible subsidies for owners. They provide expert advice, accompany the implementation and ensure the quality of the project. Their main tasks and the specific benefits for consumers are explained in a video by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
The purpose of an energy consultation
Every investment in an energy-efficient new build, an energy-efficient refurbishment or individual modernization measures is worthwhile. Expert advice should always be the basis for this. The costs incurred for an energy consultation or specialist planning and construction supervision depend on the type, scope and size of the construction project and are a matter for the expert to decide.
A professional energy consultation for residential buildings shows how the energy consumption of an existing property can be reduced. To do this, the expert checks the heating, windows and insulation, for example, during a tour of the house. The state will cover up to 50 percent of the costs. More detailed information is available at www.bafa/ebw and on the BMWE website www.energiewechsel.de.
Further information on the list of potential heat generators can be found on the BAFA website.
