Sabrina Pesch, the Hilden-based author, presents her fourth volume in the investigator series "Kessler and Wagner":
Shortly before the Halloween festival in Hilden, a woman in a fairytale dress is brutally murdered. When a threat appears on a well-known city blogger's website, a race against time begins as investigators Kessler and Wagner try to prevent the next gruesome murder.

Dr. Albert Wunsch, a doctor of educational science, psychologist, supervisor and conflict coach, will give an interactive lecture with the subtitle "With more self to a stable ME: resilience as the basis for personality development".
People would like to be understood and accepted by others, but often lack the appropriate empathy towards others. Whether in training, studies, work, relationships or everyday life - people need a high level of self-efficacy everywhere in order to avoid experiencing life as a permanent crisis. The best prerequisite for this is a stable self.
Dr. Wunsch will explain in a practical way how we can all achieve a more satisfying and meaningful life through more initiative and personal responsibility.

"Wupperschatten" - crime story reading with Lilian Muscutt
Präsentiert wird die Veranstaltung vom Bergischen KrimiKartell, in dem die Autorin Mitglied ist.
Auf das Publikum warten Spannung, Zeitgeschichte und gute Unterhaltung. Gemeinsam machen wir in einem verfallenen Kotten an der Wupper eine unheimliche Entdeckung und begeben uns lauschend auf „Spurensuche“ zu Schauplätzen aus der Region.
Zwischen den Kapiteln verrät die Solinger Autorin interessante Hintergründe zu ihrem dritten Roman, zu ihren Recherchen und zu ihren Erfahrungen als Selbstverlegerin.
Übrigens: Der Krimi beleuchtet in Rückblenden sowohl die Solinger Schleifergeschichte als auch den erbitterten Widerstand, den Menschen aus dem Bergischen Land gegen den Nazi-Terror von 1933 bis 1945 leisteten. Ein aktuelles Thema, da der Tag der Befreiung sich in diesem Jahr zum 80. Mal jährt.
Im Rahmen der Lesung möchte die Autorin ein Exemplar ihres Buches an einen der anwesenden Zuhörer verschenken. Die Nummer auf der Eintrittskarte kann ihnen zum Freiexemplar verhelfen.

"A journey into the digital working world of tomorrow" - reading with Dirk Linn
"Spiegelwelten" takes readers into a world in which different levels of consciousness, such as religion and technical parallel worlds, influence life.
Five protagonists are faced with inexplicable phenomena and have to confront a new, unknown reality. In addition to this main work, Linn's other books deal with future topics such as hierarchy-free structures, self-organized work and new learning methods.

"Stories from the Mettmann district" - reading with Jörg Schwenzfeier
The stories deal with the use of artificial intelligence in various locations in the Mettmann district, but also dystopian aspects such as the sudden onset of collective exclusion or the creeping loss of culture due to the constant push for something new.
To get in the mood for the Advent season, which is about to begin, there will also be a reading of cozy and atmospheric Christmas stories.
Hobby author Jörg Schwenzfeier has published five books. He grew up in Heiligenhaus and spent three years in Guatemala, where his father was an aid worker. He studied in Düsseldorf, Paris and Madrid and worked as a teacher until he retired.
He lives in Monheim and, in addition to writing books, is also an adventure guide in the Baumberger Kämpen.
