Citizen's Office
The Citizens' Advice Bureau on the first floor of the town hall is the central point of contact for all Hilden residents. It sees itself as the first point of contact for all administrative matters and at the same time offers important services from a single source. Consultation takes place in an open and bright atmosphere, and a separate room is available for confidential discussions.
The list of tasks ranges from ID cards and passports to registration matters, lost and found office and issuing residents' parking permits. Only digital passport photos may be used for ID cards and passports. These can be produced by licensed photographers and transmitted digitally or produced in the citizens' office as part of the application process for an additional fee. An overview of the licensed photographers in Hilden can be found here:
In addition, many applications can be made at the citizens' office that actually fall within the scope of the Mettmann district administration. In addition to driver's license applications, these include, above all, applications that foreign citizens must submit to the Foreigners' Registration Office.
A request can also be communicated via the contact form.
Appointments can be arranged online and by telephone
