Industrial parks in Hilden

The largest and oldest area for trade and industry is the 800,000-square-meter Gewerbegebiet West (West Industrial Park) on the city limits of Düsseldorf with fast connections to the A59, A46 and A3 freeways. It was developed on the former industrial wasteland of Mannesmann Röhrenwerke.

Among other things, the company 3M is located in the commercial and industrial park southwest, which produces here, among other things, foil lettering and foil markings at its largest production site in Europe. On Heinrich-Hertz-Strasse, the company Kukko, world market leader for stripping tools and automotive supplier, merged its Remscheid company locations a few years ago. In general, a balanced mix of industries with small and medium-sized companies can be found locally.

Gewerbepark Ost is home to Hilden's largest employer and the only DAX member to date: the biotech company Qiagen. During the Corona crisis, Qiagen increasingly came to the public's attention due to the production of Corona test kits.

The Northwest Industrial Park is located near the highway. Car dealerships of almost all car brands have settled here on the so-called "car mile".

In addition, the Terrania Industrial Park is located here, with a total of 100,000 m² of commercial space, providing space for numerous companies.

In the center of Hilden, the Itterpark offers an upscale standard for prospective tenants of office space.

The Talanx insurance group, which specializes in bank sales and includes Targo Versicherungen and PB Versicherungen (Postbank), also has its headquarters at Stadtpark.

In the Gewerbepark-Süd, there is space above all for small and medium-sized companies. In cooperation with the city of Hilden, the owners operate the Hilden Start-up Center (HGZ) here, which has grown over many years.
