Weekly markets
In Hilden there is the opportunity to shop at the weekly market three times a week:
- Main Market (on Nové Město Square in the city center)
- Wednesdays: 07:00 - 13:00
- saturdays: 07:00 - 13:30
- Nordmarkt (in the parking lot between Beethovenstraße and Lortzingstraße)
- Fridays: 08:30 - 15:00

On Saturday, August 30, the weekly market on Nové Město Square will be a special experience for young and old: from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., not only will the usual market activities be in full swing - the fire department will also be on site with a fire engine and an information stand. This offers the opportunity to marvel at modern firefighting technology up close and learn more about the exciting tasks of the emergency services.
The traders have also come up with something special: On this day, many stalls will be offering special fire service-related products - fresh, varied and seasonal. For example, the market butcher Christian Heift will be offering his popular "fiery" pepper bites at a special price of €1.12 - in reference to the emergency number 112.
